5. Paying it Forward
This isn't a loan, so there is nothing you have to pay back! But when you are ready, you can choose to pass the help along. It feels incredibly good to close the loop knowing you are now the person helping someone else take their next positive step.

THE PROCESS

At Back You, we believe financial barriers should not prevent you from accessing care. We bridge the gap between financial need and essential support through a community-powered model. Here is exactly how our monthly grant process works from start to finish.

1. Check Your Eligibility
Before applying, ensure you meet our foundational criteria. Our grants are designed for individuals who are 18+ years, residing within the Fleurieu Peninsula region, experiencing mental health challenges, and seeking $500 or less.

2. Submit Your Application
Applications are open every month. No clinical diagnosis required. You must submit by midnight on the 25th of the month.

3. The Assessment Panel
Between the 26th and the end of the month, our committee reviews applications based on need, impact, and available funds.

4. Notification and Payment
You will be notified by the 1st of the following month. Approved funding is paid directly to the service provider. We do not reimburse personal accounts.
