The Back You Grant Application

The Back You grant is designed to remove financial barriers to mental health and wellbeing support. Our process is simple and transparent: you apply for funding for a specific service or resource, our community-led board reviews the request, and we provide direct support where it can make the most impact. We prioritize Fleurieu Peninsula residents and focus on early intervention and collective care.

Quick Overview

  • Applying: You must submit this application yourself, though a friend or support worker is absolutely welcome to sit with you and help you fill it out.

  • Timeline: Applications close at midnight on the 25th of each month. You will be notified of the outcome by email by the 1st of the following month.

  • Payment: We do not pay funds* directly to applicants; approved funding is paid directly to your chosen service provider or business (*$500 maximum funding cap).

  • Commitment: We invite successful applicants to optionally "pay it forward" with a contribution of their choosing when they feel ready and able. (Note: Applicants are eligible to receive funding once every 12 months).
